Michael Tran

I loved playing tennis as a junior but put it aside when I was studying for my BCom at Auckland University. After a number of decades working in finance and being self employed, I have come full circle back to tennis, which is a passion I wish to share by helping to develop young players. I am married with 3 daughters, and have been instrumental in the tennis development of my oldest 2 girls. Both girls have represented Auckland in the National Junior Teams Event, winning gold on numerous occasions. The younger of the two also represents New Zealand on the world stage, competing in Asia, Australia and USA. I was fortunate enough to accompany her when she was selected by the ITF to compete in the Eddie Herr at IMG Tennis Academy and Junior Orange Bowl in Florida, USA. Having arguably the best coach in NZ (Neil Carter) as my mentor, I have experience with developing young players to performance athletes.
