William Todd

Orakei Tennis Club
Tournament Coordinator, Head Coach

I have been working for Kiwi Tennis for the last year and a half and have taken on the roles of Performance Coach at Orakei Tennis Club and Tournament Co-ordinator. So please contact me for any coaching or tournament enquiries!

From 9 years of coaching, I have found that efficiency and simplicity are key parts of a player’s technique. They provide the fastest, most effective results and I have created my own drills and concepts specific to the player to achieve this. Through this, I have helped create performance programmes and groups for talented junior players at Orakei Tennis Club.

I competed at national level on the British Tour and around Europe, as well as training at the EliteTennis Academy in Barcelona. I represented Bournemouth University 1st team, where I graduated with a BSC Sports Management degree. During this time, I coached at the West Hants High Performance Academy, completed my LTA Level 2 certificate and represented their national team in both singles and doubles.

I’ve been coached and mentored by the previous number 1 in Mexico, and worked alongside coaches from Argentina, France, South Africa, America, Australia and the UK, some of whom have worked and trained with the likes of Nick Bollettieri, Andy Roddick and even Richard Branson!

I have assisted in coaching top national juniors in the UK for West Hants High Performance Academy and in the USA for the US Sports Institute, where I developed beginner, performance and elite players in group and individual environments.

My goal is to achieve progress whilst maintaining quality, enthusiasm and fun. This means that whatever your age, ability or competitive level, I will adapt my approach to make you the best you can be.
