Diploma in Personal Training

Tennis has been my passion since I picked up a racket aged 8 and I love teaching a sport that has taught me so much. As a Junior I trained in the UK at an LTA High Performance Centre, where I competed across Europe in ETA and ITFS events, as well as regional and national tournaments. As a Senior I played on the British tour, while based in Spain at the Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy, where I trained with world class players and coaches.

I have over 12 years coaching experience and have worked in Australia, the UK, the Caribbean and now New Zealand. As a coach I enjoy working with all ages and standards as I feel the variety of lessons keeps it fresh and there is more scope to improve as a coach. I love the challenge of finding someone's learning style and seeing their technique and game continuously improve.

At my last club I was responsible for heading up and developing the Junior Performance Programme. During my 3 years in this role the programme grew in both strength and numbers. Most rewarding though, was helping players develop their game, fitness and mental strength and then seeing their hard work rewarded when they competed. Highlights included multiple winning titles across all age groups in regional and county events, a player representing Iceland in the Junior Davis Cup and most recently a player winning the prestigious Road to Wimbledon 2017 in the 14s age group.

Other interests include soccer, squash, golf and Muay Thai.
