Assistant Coach

The first time I picked up a racquet was when I was 5 years old and at the time I lived in Australia. I started with red ball and progressed my way up to where I am now. I am part of Orakei Tennis Club and I am in the U16 girls Team and I also play in the Women’s 2 team.

I go to an amazing school, Baradene College of the Sacred Heart in Remuera, all of us girls who go to Baradene are given many great sporting and academic opportunities. At the school I was lucky enough to receive the ‘ Year 7/8 Tennis MVP’ award in 2016, and many academic achievements.

Outside of tennis I play other sports as well, I play Soccer for the U13 B girls team at Eastern Suburbs.

In the Term 2 holidays of 2017 I had a great opportunity to participate in the Tennis New Zealand Assistant Coaching Course, which was a 3 day course. From the course I learnt different roles a coach must play, different attitudes to have around different age groups, and how to choose appropriate activities for each level / stage of tennis the kids are at.

I hope to see you guys on the Tennis court soon!
