West Harbour Tennis Centre
In 1969 a group of people were keen to become involved in the establishment of a tennis club somewhere in the Massey area. After 2 years at Lincoln Heights, the Club moved to Massey High School with the availability of 6 asphalt courts. As membership increased and the number of pupils attending Massey High School soared, the Club considered its options. A decision was made to negotiate with the Waitakere City Council to establish the club in the Picasso Reserve.
Coinciding with the change of location was a change of name. The Massey Tennis Club became the Belvedere Tennis Centre and then later the West Harbour Tennis Centre.
