Well done to all our Kiwi Tennis players currently competing and those who have competed over the last two weeks of the school holidays.
Special mention to Vivian Yang who was competing in grade 4 ITF tournament’s in Queensland and Fiji over the last three weeks. Vivian (13yrs old), accompanied by Coach Sheridan, made it through qualifying in both weeks and earned her first main draw singles win on the Gold Coast, boosting her ITF World junior ranking to a new high of #1831.
Anton Sheep (15yrs and now #1623) played some great tennis in Queensland too, making it through to the semi-finals of the grade 4 ITF in Brisbane and competing strongly in the Australian Money Tournaments(AMT) the week before.
Awesome job Ema Miyuara who has been away for the last three weeks too, competing in ITF’s in Fiji and now Vietnam. Ema won her first round in the main draw in the grade 4 tournament today and we all wish her luck for tomorrow!
In local tournaments we had Ethan Zhang competing in the 10&U Tennis Auckland July Junior Tournament at Scarbro Tennis Centre. Ethan made it through to the final of this tournament playing some great tennis to get there.
Fantastic effort from everyone that has competed!
