Coaching Structure

Our programs are designed to help every player reach their full potential, regardless of their age and current ability. We work hard to instil the tennis fundamentals into each player, making sure that they establish a good solid technical base from which to grow a successful game. With this approach we have had some great results and have coached players in several different countries up to international standard.

Both the adult and junior programs have been structured to allow our players to develop their game through us focusing on improving the following:

  • Technical skills
  • Tactical Awareness
  • Movement and agility around the court
  • Mental preparation and application
  • Styles and patterns of play
  • Matchplay

Junior Coaching

Our junior coaching program can cater for any age or ability, from a complete beginner through to national competitor. We ensure that every child can achieve their full potential.

Our program allows our players to fit into the correct group based on ability, whilst it also maintains the flexibility to move players through the various levels as and when they begin to progress. We are affiliated with Tennis NZ and follow the Hot Shots program, with our senior and head coaches having ITF Level 1/JDC/LTA Level 3 qualifications.

Serving, rallying and scoring is made easy because of the smaller courts, slower balls and shorter racquets. Hot Shots sessions are made up of tactical, technical, fun and social elements which create developmental readiness in children.
