Ziwei Zhang is a highly qualified tennis coach with a strong academic and professional background in sports education and development. Originally from China, Ziwei holds a Master’s degree in Humane and Sociological Science of Sports from East China Normal University, where she was recognised as an Outstanding Graduate of Shanghai Municipality. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Waikato’s School of Health.

Ziwei has experience coaching children and youth players, including her role at the Shanghai Seed Stars Tennis/Pickleball Academy, where she instructed tennis to kids aged 4–10. She has also worked with the Shanghai Tennis Association, supporting youth competitions, city amateur leagues, and sports promotion initiatives, while assisting with coaching, refereeing, and event organisation.

Certified as a Level 2 Tennis Referee and a Junior Tennis Coach, Ziwei also holds a High School Physical Education Teacher Qualification from China’s Ministry of Education. Fluent in Mandarin and English, she brings a professional, patient, and culturally aware approach to coaching, helping young players develop both technical skills and a lifelong love of tennis.
